In this picture. There were too many European people came to the United States. l think that those immigrants wanted to find new lives in the United Stated. However, it was a long trip on the sea, and it was so crowed. I mean that there were too many people on this ship, and I think this ship was not enough to take them. So, they had to share places and washroom and meals and everything else. Generally speaking, the environment of this trip was too bad, I guess that for a lot of those immigrants, they were suffering the bad environment. That’s whay I think this is a really bad trip, they were on the way which approach to the war.

The article “ AIDS – Not Someone Else’s Problem” which published in Making Connections by Kenneth J. Parkenham writes that in the end of 1970s, AIDS was just appeared in United States. And all the treatments were unuseful. At the very beginning, AIDS was not common, but the government tried to make it as a secret. There are three ways which people could get AIDS, medical institutions were starting doing research on AIDS. Between 1984 and 1989, more and more people in United States got AIDS. However, the rate of infection fell, AIDS spreaded so fast in United States. What’s worse, AIDS became a global problem within few years, so many countries and people were suffering from it, especially in Africa. Though, many medical institutions has begun to do research on AIDS since it just appeared, because of AIDS virus could change so quick that there is no way to make people who has AIDS get well. As we all knew, everyone could prevent themselves from AIDS in someway, and those researchs are keep doing.

Charts on 43
According to the chart, from 1950 to 2000, the United States is facing the aging problem, the percentage of older people increased and 3 percent, so that these old people could live longer because of health care. However, as the percentage of teens decreased, I think, more or less, the population of America is decreased. As this rate, in 2050, more old people will have health care.

chart on 45
According to this chart, the difference between wealthier and poorer countries is obvious. It all depends on money, in wealthier countries, the people have better health care, so that they can live better, longer and healthier. However, just because the poorer countries do not have so much money to make their health care system better, the people there could not get a good health care, maybe they even do not have any health care systems.

1. What are the effects of rising health care costs in richer countries?
First of all, to support health care system, those wealthier countries have to spend lots of money on it. Moreover, the insurance became more expensive, this is the most important problem, so that it is hard to buy for many people who have lower income.
2. What are the factors that contribute to rising health care costs?
More and more old people need to get health care, as the research and this system costs more, people has to spend more money on it.
